One clear and peaceful night, the sky was brighter than ever. Lara carefully pointed her telescope toward a group of stars she had observed many times before.
Suddenly, something caught her attention.
One small star wasn't twinkling like the others. Instead, it was blinking in a steady pattern, almost as if someone far away was flashing a tiny flashlight through space.
"That's strange," Lara whispered. "Stars don't usually blink like that."
She quickly grabbed her notebook and began writing down every flash she saw.

The mysterious pattern repeated several times. Lara watched carefully until the blinking finally stopped.
She looked at her notes and suddenly remembered reading about Morse code in one of her science books.
"Could this be a message?" she wondered.
Excited, Lara opened her Morse code chart and patiently translated each signal one by one. It took a long time, but she refused to give up.
At last, the message became clear.
"Look behind the Red Planet."
Lara smiled.
"The Red Planet... that's Mars!"
She carefully turned her telescope toward Mars and adjusted the focus as much as she could.
For a few moments, she saw nothing unusual.
Then, just behind Mars, she noticed a tiny glowing world unlike anything she had ever seen.
It was a small purple planet surrounded by a soft silver glow, almost as if it were hiding behind Mars all along.
Lara could hardly believe her eyes.
"I've discovered a new world!" she exclaimed.
The next morning, Lara showed her notes, drawings, and telescope observations to her parents. Together, they contacted a team of space scientists, who carefully studied the area using powerful observatories.
After many careful observations, the scientists confirmed that Lara had indeed discovered a previously unknown dwarf planet hidden behind Mars from Earth's point of view.
To honor her curiosity, patience, and love of learning, they decided to name the new world Lara's Star.
That evening, Lara looked through her telescope once again. She smiled as she gazed at the stars, knowing that the universe still held countless mysteries waiting to be discovered.
She realized that great discoveries often begin with something very small—a curious question, careful observation, and the courage to keep searching for answers.
